As part of washing your horse blankets I will inspect your blanket for tears, broken surcingles or hardware, clean the Velcro and overstitch any broken or loose threads at no cost to you.
If a repair is needed I will then charge according to the size and complexity of the repair.
I waterproof horse blankets using Nikwax Waterproofing. If a blanket is 2 or more years old, and used frequently it should be re-waterproofed. A good way to see if your blanket needs to be waterproofed is to spray it with water, if the water does not bead up on the blanket and goes through the lining, then it needs to be waterproofed. If your horse comes in from wet weather and is not dry, your blanket is no longer waterproof and should be treated.
